    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Manager within the Risk Management Authority (RMA).  This is a new post and a chance for you to make your mark and see the difference you can make to an organisation of circa 25 staff. The RMA is a non-departmental public body which focuses on protecting the public from the risk of serious harm posed by violent and sexual offending.

    We are looking for someone to provide an effective standalone HR provision; to develop and implement an HR strategy, to provide expert advice to our line managers and executive and address all people matters. We are looking for someone to bring innovation and best practice to our policies and procedures while providing an HR input to the wider organisational activities.

    THE ROLE

    You will report to the Director of Corporate Services and have support on HR transactions from the existing admin team. The main focus of your role will be:

    • Develop and implement an HR Strategy to support the Corporate Plan and annual business plan objectives, incorporating organisation values.
    • Develop a strategy embedding Equality into wider activities.
    • Develop and implement training plans.
    • Review and update of HR policies and procedures, driving change in a collaborative environment.
    • Review all points of the employee lifecycle and deliver an innovative and best practice HR service.
    • Review and update our performance appraisal system to incorporate our values.
    • Coach and support our line mangers and provide expert HR advice to all our stakeholders.

    PERSON

    To be successful in this role will you need to be able to demonstrate that you have worked in an HR role with some experience of working at strategic level and providing advice to senior management. You will need to show you have experience of providing all services of a generalist HR role and have driven change and innovation in a collaborative environment.

    It is essential that you hold CIPD Human Resource Management Level 7 (equivalent or above).

    TERMS & CONDITIONS

    The RMA offers excellent conditions of employment which include 27 days annual leave, 11½  days public/privilege holidays, flexible working hours and entry to the civil service pension. The permanent post of HR Manager is a Grade 6 post with a salary range of £46,500 to £50,500.

    Full Time 37 hours per week with trial hybrid working in operation which requires a minimum of 2 days in office.
