FRAME: Emerging evidence from the use of LS/CMI in Scotland
9th October 2015
RMA Offices, 7 Thread Street, Paisley
The RMA was delighted to host a conference on the Level of Service / Case Management Inventory (LS/CMI) in October of this year. The focus of this free event was what we have learned and what we can learn further about implementation practice.
Background
For as long we have been around (10 years this year!) the RMA has been involved in supporting the Scottish Government and other key stakeholders in a major initiative to introduce a consistent method of risk/needs assessment in Scotland. Many people from many agencies have contributed to this endeavour which involved embedding the LS/CMI in a structured professional practice process, delivered on an IT platform. From this method and system going live in 2011, through further collaboration between the RMA, Local Authorities, Scottish Government Justice Analytical Services, Social Work Scotland and LS/CMI authors and publishers, we now have findings emerging from the first validation of this approach in Scotland, and the first validation of the LS/CMI out with North America.
