We are currently seeking experienced, confident risk assessors from psychology and psychiatry disciplines to complete complex risk assessments for the High Court as RMA Accredited Assessors. This is a vital role contributing to defensible decision making in the Scottish justice system.
We open the application process for RMA Accredited Assessors only if we anticipate that further assessors are required to meet the needs of the High Court. This is a rare opportunity to apply to play an important role in public protection.
The accreditation process follows four stages: pre-application, application, interview, maintenance of accreditation. To comply with the timeframes outlined within the legislation, applications will only be accepted between 17 and 21 of January 2022.
To find out more information about the role of an Accredited Assessor and the application process, join our upcoming Webinar for Applicants on Thursday 16 December at 7pm.
The event will be hosted by our OLR Lead Ross Pollock. A short presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
Ross Pollock, OLR Lead, commented:
“This webinar is intended to aid those currently considering applying and those who have already commenced the application process. As one who has been involved in accreditation since 2007, I should be well-placed to answer your questions about the role itself and how best to approach your application.”
