Scottish Ministers are looking to make two appointments to the Board of the Risk Management Authority (RMA).

The appointments are for up to four years from 1 October 2018.  There is the possibility of reappointment subject to evidence of effective performance and satisfying the skills and knowledge required at the time of reappointment and beyond.

Members receive a daily fee of £206.00.  The RMA will pay allowances at rates set centrally for any travel and subsistence costs necessarily incurred by Board Members on RMA business.  All reasonable receipted dependant-carer expenses will also be reimbursed where applicable.

As a member of the RMA Board you may spend up to 15 days per year on the Authority’s work.  This includes attending regular Board and/or Committee meetings which will be held at the RMA headquarters in Paisley on the third Monday of every second month.

Full information on the appointments is at www.appointed-for-scotland.org/.

The closing date for applications is 28 June 2018.

Scottish Ministers particularly welcome applications from groups currently under-represented on Scotland’s public bodies, such as women, disabled people, those from minority ethnic communities, and people aged under 50.  The public appointments process promotes, demonstrates and upholds equality of opportunity for all applicants.
